This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska,
central South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central
South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated storms are possible this evening and tonight. Some
storms may be strong to severe with large hail being the primary
threat. Brief heavy rain is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Rain and snow overspread the area with snow beginning along and
northwest of a Lake Andes to Brookings, SD line. East of this line
remains rain which transitions to snow by Friday evening.
Freezing rain is possible, with the highest ice potential along
Highway 14 into south central South Dakota. Heavy snow is
possible along Highway 14 and west of the James River.

Strong winds accompanying the falling snow creates near blizzard
conditions Friday afternoon into Saturday. Blowing and drifting
snow are possible into the weekend. Monitor the latest forecast
for the most up to date information.
